When you press space again, it will stop the sound track and mute system sounds again. Good thing is that FL Studio uses space key to play/pause soundtrack or piano roll track, so you can basically edit your piano roll (while the system sound is muted) and then press space, which will unmute the system sound and play the track at the same time. When you run this script, it will allow you to mute/unmute system sound on Space key press. The script is extremely simple: ~SPACE:: SoundSet, +1,, Mute The easiest way to achieve something similar is to use AutoHotkey script. Here are some methods that may be helpful. However, there are other ways to achieve it. There is no native way to achieve it in FL Studio. I tried my best to explain as brief as I could, I hope it is clear what I want and what I've tried and what the problem is. So, if anything, absolutely anything, is unclear in my question (due to my bad english), then feel free to ask and I'l explain whatever is not clear. I don't want to create external programs just in order to remove annoying sounds from fl studio. I am sure there is better way and I'm sure there must be an option in fl studio to achieve exactly what I want. This is my temporary solution, which is very bad: I made a program in c++ which mutes all sounds in computer while I'm editing piano roll and when I finish editing piano roll, then I go to my c++ program, enable sounds and then play song. I want only to hear song when I press play button, not while I'm editing. Simply, I don't want to hear anything while I'm editing piano roll. I searched on the whole internet and I spent more than a week searching in options and setting stc, but nowhere I found answer. I want sound only to be played when I click "Play" button. I don't want to hear a sond when I place or move note. In both cases a sound is played (sound of the note). Here is when I place a note and here is when I move a note. My english is bad, so if it is unclear what I'm talking about, here is screenshots. When I place a note in piano roll, or when I move a note from one place to another, a sound (that note) is being played. For example, instead of quantizing to straight 8th notes, you can select a preset which will quantize to a swing beat.I just got flstudio and I'm new to it, so I started creating music and I experienced very annoying thing. FL Studio also includes Groove Templates, which allows you to quantize to a certain genre or beat. If you’ve imported or need to fine-tune a MIDI track that’s a little off time, you can quantize the entire track or individual notes using the Quantize function. Where the notes will snap to is dependent on what the global Snap value is set. You can quantize an existing track using the Quantize Panel, or you can enable Input Quantize, which means that the notes you play will automatically quantize while recording. There are a few options available when it comes to quantizing. When you quantize, FL Studio snaps each step/transient to the closest gridline on the piano roll. To add an additional fade point right-click on the volume line.Click and drag the start and end points up and down to create the initial fade.Click the Wave icon located at the top left part of the clip, click Crossfade With and select the overlapping sample you want to link.If you click and drag over multiple tracks, all tracks will be sliced. All you need to do is click the Razor icon located in the Playlist window, then click and drag the tool down to slice the clip. While the Edison and Slicex plug-ins can also be used, the Slice and Chop options are best used for basic editing purposes. If you have an audio track, you can use either the Slice tool or the Chop function. If working with a Pattern clip, you can use the Slice tool. Follow the sections below to get started.ĭepending on the type of track you’re editing, clips can be sliced a few ways. You’ll learn how to perform basic edits such as slicing and creating fades, as well as using the Edison and Slicex plug-ins for more advanced editing. In this guide, we will show you how to edit audio in FL Studio.
